Template Messages

The Template Messages Page contains the data fields and UI controls as follows:

  • Template Name

  • Category

  • Status (Draft, Pending, Approved, Rejected and Deleted)

  • Language

  • Last Updated Date

  • View/Edit/Submit/Delete buttons

Create New Template Message

Click "New Templates Message " to call up the Create Template Message page.

1.Create a new pure text template message: by entering:

  • Template Name (Use underscore to separate words e.g. template_for_demo)

  • Category

  • Language

  • Message Body (Enter parameters in this form {{parameter}}. Upon broadcast, the template message will be rendered with the corresponding contact attribute values)

Save changes after filled all data.

2.Create a new rich template message: by ticking at "Use rich template"

  • Template Name (Use underscore to separate words e.g. template_for_demo)

  • Category

  • Language

  • Header Optional: to input header of template if need, we have 3 value:

    • None: Not include header

    • Text: Header in text format

    • Media: Header in media format - image/video/document

(Image: jpeg, png; Video: mp4, 3gpp; Document: any valid MIME-type)

  • Body (Detail content): User can click button [+ ADD VARIABLE] to add variable (Using to send template to a list of contacts, system will get the defined attribute in each contact to generate content correctly.

For example: Dear {{name}}, hello from Clare.AI.

Then when sending template message to a list of customer, the {{name}} will be displayed accordingly per each customer.

  • Footer Optional: in text format.

  • Buttons Optional: to define suggestion buttons for customer including:

    • None: not include buttons

    • Call to action: When click, we can add 2 types of action including: Visit Website and Call Phone.

    For Visit Website: user can fill in Button Text - the label of the button, url type (static or dynamic) and detail website.

    With URL Type is dynamic, the website url can use any variable such as {{name}} and system will be able to get the generated url accordingly.

For Call Phone, user can fill in Button Text - the label of the button, and the Phone number

Button "Add Another Button" is used to add new button. However maximum we can only have 1 button for Visit Website and 1 button for Call Phone.

Modify Template Message

Click "Edit" to modify a draft Template Message:

Submit Template Message

Click "Submit" to submit the template to WhatsApp for review and approval:

The status changes to Pending and the template message becomes read-only.

The status will be updated to Approved when the template message will be approved by WhatsApp.

Remove Template Message

Click "Remove" to remove Template Message:

The status changes to deleted while the template message is still accessible in the list.

Search and Sort Template Messages

Search template messages by entering keyword in the search textbox:

Sort by Last Updated:

Click "Filter" and choose status of Template Messages:
